Cheniere’s annual Safety Award Program recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond to exhibit our safety values and perform actions that protect the safety and well-being of our people, customers and the communities in which we operate.
Cheniere’s most prestigious award category, “I OWNED IT,” recognizes exemplary safety performance and actions that prevent injuries or safety repercussions. In 2021, this was awarded to an operator who has contributed to the safe operations at our Sabine Pass facility and goes out of their way to ensure people understand the task at hand.
Cheniere’s safety award for developing an inventive solution to a safety hazard, “I FIXED IT,” was given to two individuals that identified a process gap compared to industry best practices. They worked together to drive procedure and training alignment and made both Cheniere Operating Facilities a safer place to work.
