- Careers
- Apprenticeships
Our apprenticeship program attracts, trains and empowers local students to take the next step in a career in LNG. Partnering locally with SOWELA Technical Community College in Louisiana and Del Mar College and Lamar State College Port Arthur in Texas, colleges recommend high-performing students who meet academic requirements and possess a desire to work in field operations. Those who apply, complete the work and progress are rewarded financially with grants to offset the cost of tuition.
Your journey into LNG
Students begin a two-semester journey, which includes training, hands-on experience at the site and working with mentors. Working with experienced professionals at site and professors in the classroom, these students are evaluated along the way and provided feedback to help them succeed. Those selected work at our facilities and gain two years of experience in either process technology, instrumentation technology or millwright.
Enriching opportunities
Ours is a competitive industry. Completing the classroom program means you’re eligible to apply for our year-long, site-based program that’s enriched with experience and state-of-the-art training for the LNG industry. Best yet, completing the program means you’re eligible to apply for any open direct-hire positions at the site and work alongside the experts who helped you succeed.
