Cheniere Pipeline Company (Cheniere Pipeline) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cheniere Energy, Inc., was formed in 2003 with the objective of developing downstream natural gas pipeline solutions and providing access to North American natural gas markets for Cheniere's LNG receiving terminal network.
Cheniere Pipeline Company received FERC authorization on October 18, 2007 to merge the assets of Cheniere's Sabine Pass Pipeline with and into Cheniere's Creole Trail Pipeline to facilitate the seamless operation of 153 miles of 42-inch pipeline originating from the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in southwest Louisiana.
Cheniere Pipeline has successfully permitted the 24 mile, 48-inch Cheniere Corpus Christi pipeline designed to transport approximately 2.6 Bcfd; and, the amended Cheniere Creole Trail pipeline, consisting of 153 miles of 42-inch pipeline designed to transport approximately 2.0 Bcfd. Construction for the first phase of the Cheniere Creole Trail Pipeline is currently in progress.
