Cheniere believes that education is the foundation of a strong community, so we look for ways to enhance educational opportunities for individuals. In addition to numerous scholarships and youth outreach activities, Cheniere sponsors other events that make quality educational programs more readily available.

We are annual sponsors of the Marshland Festival in Lake Charles, LA. This unique event draws youth organizations and their families from Calcasieu and Cameron Parishes to a fun-filled weekend of live entertainment, games and Cajun food. The Festival was created to foster community involvement and camaraderie while providing a venue for students in the area to raise money for school programs. This is a well received and attended event that raises thousands of dollars for school organizations every year.

Cheniere was a proud sponsor of the Texas State Aquarium's 2006 Beach Ball Fund Raiser, benefiting education and conservation activities for the leading organization dedicated to showcasing the rich marine life of the Gulf of Mexico.

In Corpus Christi, Texas, the Conquer the Coast Bike Ride is held in late September every year. Cheniere has sponsored this event annually. Proceeds from Conquer the Coast benefit the Tarpon Foundation and the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The Tarpon Foundation is a scholarship fund for student athletes at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation provides community and leadership development opportunities in the area.
